Easy transfer of the policy to the new owner

If ownership of your pet changes to another individual, they will easily transfer the policy to the new pet owner without any interruption of insurance. However, you need to personally call them up to initiate the transfer.

4Paws does not cover pre-existing conditions

As per 4Paws, pre-existing condition is an illness, disease, injury, or change in the health of your pet that first occurs or shows its signs and symptoms before the coverage is effective or in the duration of a waiting period. This might also include conditions that are associated with or secondary or resulting from a pre-existing condition. These are the conditions that were diagnosed before your enrollment or during the waiting period. Regrettably, these pre-existing conditions are not covered by the 4Paws insurance policies.

Applying for the claim is easy

For filing a claim log in to your online account for completing a personalized claim form for the pet you need to file a claim for. You also will require an itemized receipt for (1) products provided, and (2) itemized expenses for treatment inclusive of any packages or discounts. You can then submit the form of claim and receipt, online or through email or fax.

Easy access to the documents

All of the policy documents will be saved to your online account unless you have applied for the applied delivery. In case, you have applied for an electronic delivery and did not receive any paperwork within 7 business days, you can contact them at 877-28-4PAWS.

Maximum reimbursements are offered

You may pick your reimbursement level as much as 90% for eligible services. Then after applying your deductible amount, you may need to pay co-insurance, if applicable and the rest will be reimbursed.

Affordable deductible options are available

4Paws offers Annual Deductible so you do not have to pay for any new incident or illness. The annual deductible has to be met once per policy period. In addition, they also offer four deductible alternatives so that you can pick out the one that works best for you: $100, $150, $250 or $500.

Veterinary exam fees are covered

They do not have a waiting period for accidents and injuries that do not correspond to the ligament and knee condition. However, they do have a waiting period of 14 days for diagnosis, treatment, or surgery associated with illnesses and ligament and knee conditions.
